Reclaimed Plastic Furniture

Global value chains from a 3D printing perspective

OnePieceADay Ocean is a project designed to reclaim ocean plastic waste and turn it into recycled household objects.

Our goal is to change the way we look at plastic waste by engaging in practices of circular economy. Rather than be discarded as waste, plastic pollution can be repurposed and turned into an important recycled material.

Through this research, we are developing a series of household objects and furniture that will engage principles of the circular economy of plastic, recycling technologies and 3D printing to help address the ocean plastic problem.

We wish to acknowledge the land on which One Piece A Day operates. For thousands of years, it has been under the care of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, it is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to carry on their legacy of care for the Earth on this land.
